So many restaurants, so much meh

I was excited to move to Stowe, Vt. It’s a small town, but it’s resort town. Being a spoiled foodie, I was delighted to learn that this town of ~5,000 has ~75 restaurants. Stowe’s full of money and tourists, I reasoned. It’s going to have great food. If I hit one restaurant a week, it’ll take me a year and a half to get through them all, but I’ll sure be fat and happy.

But the cuisine scene is a solid meh.

I’ve found a couple of gems, sure, but Stowe deserves better restaurants. Don’t get me wrong: I’m not being snooty because I get to live in Stowe. Every town deserves good restaurants, but I happen to have landed here. And better restaurants will only add to Stowe’s tourist-fueled economy.

So I felt compelled to start reviewing Stowe restaurants. My aims are two: to share the fabulous that I find, and to point out the meh so it can turn into drool.
